I am employed by Netnod as head of engineering, research and development and am among other things chair of the Security and Stability Advisory Committee at ICANN. You can find CV and photos of me at this page.

As I wear so many hats, I find it being necessary to somewhere express my personal view on things. This is the location where that happens. Postings on this blog, or at Facebook, Twitter etc, falls under this policy.

Domain La Garrigue, Vacquerias “La Cantarelle” 2005, red

A very nice vacquerias. The prestige wine from La Garrigue. Thin, strict, as all vacquerias. Body ok, but not impressive. Grenache and not syrah dominated. Still tannins, so it could sit for a while more. But, it is expensive. Still much cheaper than for example chateauneuf-du-pape, but also not comparable (as good gigondas can). (+)

A classic gigondas, but with what I think too dominating syrah. Should have been more grenache in this to match my taste. Loads of tannins, but also not so large body. Should stay in cellar for a few years, but I ask myself what is left then. If you like young syrah dominated things, […]
